Factory Tours

We're back! Follow cocoa beans' journey from trees at origin to finished chocolate in our factory.

Join Us at Our 16th Street Factory Location ...

... for a lively tour of our active bean-to-bar chocolate factory. We are offering our first few 2022 IRL factory tours, which feature a guided walk-through of our chocolate-making process (and plenty of samples!). We talk about sourcing from various cocoa origins and share info about cacao trees, then taste our way through fresh cacao pods, roasted cocoa beans, molten chocolate, and finally finished single-origin chocolate bars.

Our tours vary slightly throughout the week. On weekdays until 5 p.m., our chocolate makers are at full steam, and you’re likely to see beans roasting and our team in action. Over the weekend, we have the factory to ourselves, so we can dive deeper into chocolate history and our entire production process. Both tour versions include lots of chocolate tasting and a complimentary hot chocolate.

Sample Single-Origin Cocoa in Many Forms

Along the tour, we will taste fresh cacao fruit, crunch on roasted cocoa beans from different origins, sample warm melted chocolate as it is refining, and of course enjoy squares of finished single-origin dark chocolate.

And a Little Bit of Hot Chocolate to Boot

You’ll also receive a hot chocolate gift card to use in our café after your tour, or to keep for your next factory visit.

Anticipating your visit ...

  • Each tour is approximately one hour, and involves both standing and sitting.
  • We recommend a sweater, jacket, or other light outer layer of clothing – our factory can be chilly!
  • Our tours are designed for guests as young as eight.
  • Guests 12 years and younger should be accompanied by an adult, as we want to make sure everyone remains safe on the factory floor.
