It’s summer in the Bay Area, and although around here that doesn’t necessarily mean beach time in bathing suits, it does mean the arrival of peak produce season. This year, we’ve got our eyes on beautiful, local stone fruit like Cloverleaf Farm peaches, Blossom Bluff elephant heart plums, and K&J Orchard cherries. To celebrate the short window of this delicious bounty, we’ve made a chocolate tart that summer dreams are made of. We’ve filled our house-made Oreo-inspired chocolate crust with silky 70% Camino Verde chocolate pastry cream, and topped it with the best fruit of the season. Garnished with edible flowers.

This nine-inch tart serves 6-8. Store in the fridge and serve chilled.

Requires 48 hour notice. 

Ingredients: fresh seasonal fruit, 100% and 70% Camino Verde chocolate (cocoa beans, organic cane sugar), butter, sugar, all-purpose flour, milk, egg, corn syrup, cornstarch, baking soda, salt, and microgreens (garnish)
