Spiced Holiday Panforte
If you’ve never had panforte before, you’re in for a treat. Don’t mistake this dense fruit and nut confection for a fruitcake. It’s chewy, not too sweet, and spiced with the warm nutmeg and cinnamon of winter. What we love about Patty Doyle's FARM Chocolate panforte is that the taste has a real sense of our SF Bay Area home. It’s made with plump, peak-of-season almonds, figs, candied orange peel, and other fruits and nuts from Sebastopol and Sonoma farms. The second thing we love about it? That it’s studded with the bright flavors of our 70% Camino Verde, Ecuador dark chocolate.
Patty used to live in Germany, and there she focused her passion for European holiday treats. We’ve been wanting to be a part of her handmade confections and chocolates for ages, and with our 16th Street Factory (which just opened this year) now in production, we finally have the chocolate she wanted ready to use for this collaboration. We think the wait was totally worth it.
