June Taylor Company’s chocolate-covered citrus peel includes two flavors: bright Meyer lemon and sweet clementine orange, hand-tied in a reusable, custom-made Japanese furoshiki gift wrap cloth printed with one of our custom prints.
Master jam maker (and longtime friend) June Taylor follows traditional fruit preserving methods at The Still-Room, her kitchen in Berkeley since 2004. For years now we’ve admired her dedication to her craft, including how she sources the most delicious organically grown fruit at its peak of season—and uses its every part. June hand cuts everything she makes and cooks each small batch with careful attention. And she was one of the first SF Bay Area food makers to start selling her products in Japan, where she remains a popular import.
The fruity flavor notes of our single-origin Kokoa Kamili, Tanzania 70% chocolate really brighten over her beautifully-prepared sweet citrus. We think this confection is what springtime chocolate tastes like at its best.
