Dandelion Chocolate

San Francisco’s historic Ferry Building is an architectural landmark that has housed a gourmet food hall since 2003. In 2014, we joined the Ferry Building's artisan makers, opening a Marketplace shop to showcase local collaborators’ creations and offer our own bean-to-bar chocolate.

Like today’s Ferry Building, this curated selection of chocolate bars and confections — all made with our single-origin 70% chocolate — celebrates Bay Area food producers, highlighting favorite local collaborations. Christine Doerr’s S.F.-based NeoCocoa brings us crisp Black Sesame Toffee Brittle sandwiched in our Camino Verde, Ecuador chocolate and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and a pinch of sea salt; local friend Feve Chocolates crafts smooth, buttery Sea Salt Caramels, enrobed in our rich Camino Verde chocolate; and Patty Doyle at Sebastopol’s FARM Chocolate hand-dips crunchy Chocolate Orange Walnut Toffee in our Camino Verde chocolate, then tops it with candied California orange peel and toasted California walnuts. This set also includes a tasting flight of five distinctive 70% chocolate bars, and a custom-designed vial of our café classic House Hot Chocolate Mix.

This curated selection of chocolates and confections celebrates our local collaborations, which include Black Sesame Toffee Brittle (a combination of black sesame, 70% Camino Verde chocolate, brown-sugar butter toffee, and a pinch of sea salt) from S.F.-based NeoCocoa; slow-crafted Chocolate Orange Walnut Toffee garnished with candied orange peel and California walnuts, from Sebastopol's FARM Chocolate; and smooth, rich Sea Salt Caramels from our longtime S.F. friends, Feve Chocolates. This set also includes two pure expressions of single-origin chocolate: a tasting flight of five distinctive dark chocolate bars; and our café-style House Hot Chocolate Mix, made with our fudgy 70% Camino Verde, Ecuador chocolate.

About the Artist

Cara Mathis is a pen-and-ink artist living in Pinehurst, North Carolina, where she combines her loves of architecture and doodling to create black-and-white keepsakes of her favorite people, places, and things. Cara hand-sketched the illustrations for all of our Flagship Collection gift boxes, and we are charmed by her playful, elegant depictions of each Dandelion location.
