These beans come from the Camino Verde farm in Balao, Ecuador. Greg, Chiann, and Pearl visited this farm in May, 2014 and they were impressed by the careful and methodical way the farm operates. Vicente Norero, the owner and general manager, is committed to a process that respects the soil, controls water consumption, utilizes bio-fertilizers, provides traceability of its trees, and achieves optimum fermentation and drying of beans. We really like the notes of sour cream, roasted nuts, and dark chocolate cake.
We feel these beans taste good enough to stand on their own. This bar is purely 100% cacao. There is no added sugar.
