Growing up in São Paulo, Brazil, Renata Stoica learned how to make brigadeiros from her mother. We first met Renata and her husband Andrei of tinyB chocolates when we invited them to make a brigadeiro for our 2018 Advent calendar, and we have been craving her fudgy, creamy, intensely chocolate-y confections ever since.
Somewhere in-between a chocolate truffle and a caramel, in Brazil, brigadeiros are as common as beaches, caipirinhas, and bossa nova. We knew that we really wanted Renata’s rich, sweetened condensed milk-based chocolate bombs in an assortment of flavors to share our love of this Brazillian party food with the world. She makes everything right here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and each brigadeiro is shaped and rolled by hand.
