We are elated to present our first Southeast Asian origin chocolate - and a rare opportunity to compare side-by-side the difference that hands-on chocolate craftsmanship can make.

From Regal Plantations in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, farmers Karthikeyan Palanisamy and Harish Kumar intercrop the cacao in this bar with coconut. The plantation is visited by tigers from the tiger preserve next door and elephants who pull a snack from the coconut trees at the expense of the cacao plants underfoot.

Taste this bar next to our Anamalai, India 2017 bar made in Kurame, Japan by Chocolate Maker Mei. The Japanese bar is tangy with flavors of dried and tropical fruit, but U.S. Chocolate Maker Karen has coaxed flavors of kumquat, peanut, and buttercream.
